welcome

Flying Monkey Yoga has been based in Goa, India since 2006. During this time we have been offering a variety of classes and workshops covering various aspects of  Yoga asana, Pranayama and Meditation. In addition to this, therapeutic massage treatments and massage training. It is not without regret that from Febuary 2010 Flying MonkeyYoga, will close its doors, leaving India for a new yoga
adventure in Cambodia.

Picture one: Alison Hawkins of Flying Monkey Yoga inspects the leather shoes for sale in a stall at the Mackey’s night market in Goa, India. Picture two: A purple sunset with palm trees reflecting in the costal pools. Picture three: Alison Hawkins and Oskar Nery chat with friends. Picture four: Alison Hawkins and Oskar Nery take an morning walk on Candolim beach in the early blue light of dawn. Picture five: This picture taken by Niall O Cleirigh shows two sun loungers silhouetted in the afternoon sun on Candolim beach. In Goa on the west Coast of India the sun does not so much set as sink into an ever present wall of mist and cloud, though it often kicks up some beautiful colours as it descends unseen below the horizon.

In 2009 Alison Hawkins & Oskar Nery, the Flying Monkey Yoga team met Isabelle Skaburskis who runs Nataraj Yoga & Kramma Yoga Project in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  We are so impressed by the work that Isabelle has been doing using yoga in the Khmer (Cambodian) community to help marginalised children and young people that we have decided to close  up our yoga stuidio in Goa to move to Cambodia to work with Isabelle in her Community Yoga project.
